“Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.” –Benjamin Franklin

Welcome to Kindergarten! My name is Krystal Adelle Flores and I am a new faculty member of Mary Immaculate School. I am blessed to have the opportunity to serve the Lord and help young minds blossom into compassionate leaders of tomorrow. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Woodbury University. I have worked at a counseling office in the college setting, one-on-one behavioral and educational therapy for autistic children at home and in the school setting. With this experience, I realized helping children learn and grow both educationally and socially is my passion. My educational background and prior work experiences led me to become a substitute teacher for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles for grades TK-8th. I worked as a long-term substitute teacher for a kindergarten class. Additionally, I taught summer school at a Catholic school in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. This experience has prepared me to differentiate instruction for students.

My philosophy in education is that the children of today are the future of tomorrow. We need to instill the Love of God to build compassionate leaders. I am excited to begin my first year teaching in the Kindergarten level where many foundational skills are established to foster success in the years coming.
